Undergraduate Diploma Program of Chinese International Education

Dalian Minzu University (DLMU) is one of the approved universities to admit international students. International Cultural Exchanges Institute (ICEI) at DLMU enrolls and offers Chinese language and undergraduate programs for international students. With a HSK Center in DLNU, it is convenient for international students here to take part in the exam. ICEI is committed to cultivating international talents who are familiar with Chinese culture and with competence of cross-cultural communication. Due to a professional and experienced teaching team, a distinctive curriculum system and a strict management system been established in the institute. So far, nearly 5000 international students from 45 countries and regions have graduated and many of them play an important role in the fields of economy, trade, education, cultural exchanges and other fields in the world. 

 

 

1. Compulsory courses: Chinese Integrated Skills, Chinese listening, Spoken Chinese, Chinese Reading, Chinese vocabulary, Chinese Grammar, Teaching Methods of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, Translation, Ancient Chinese, Appreciation of Ancient Chinese Literary Works, Anthology of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature, Chinese Culture, A Survey to China;

2. Elective courses: Chinese Calligraphy and Painting, Chinese Food Culture, Chinese Character Culture, Tai Chi, Paper-cut Art.

 

The undergraduate diploma of Dalian Minzu University will be conferred to those who have completed all the courses and have passed the examination and meet the graduation requirements within the period (3-6 years). Those who meet the conditions for awarding a bachelor's degree will be conferred to a bachelor's degree.

Admission Requirements

1. Under the age of 65 in a good health;

2. An ordinary valid non-Chinese passport;

3. A high school diploma (equivalent) or above;

4. Band 4 of HSK;

5. Passed the professional entrance test.

 

Note: If under the age of 18, the candidate must provide the guardian's notarization materials and obtain the approval of the college.

 

Spring semester: from the beginning of March to the middle of July every year;

Autumn semester: from the beginning of September to the middle of January of the next year.

 

Spring semester: September 1 - January 10 

Autumn semester: March 1 - July 10

 

1. To complete “Application Form for Admission”. It can be downloaded from the websites below:

dlnu.edu.cn/culture/ 

2.  High school graduation certificate (or equivalent) or above and Chinese translation;

3. Academic transcripts and Chinese translations;

4. Certificate for Chinese proficiency (for example, HSK Band 4 certificate);

5. The front page and blank page of a non-Chinese ordinary valid passport (if the applicant has been to China, he has to provide the visa page of entry and exit seals);

6. A latest two-inch half-length, bareheaded and full-faced photo.

 

Note: The above application materials will not be returned whether accepted or not.

 

1. Please email the above application materials to: dlnu_lxs@163.com, or come to the International Student Section of the International Cultural Exchange Institute to register on the spot;

2. International Cultural Exchange Institute is responsible for checking the application materials;

3. The applicant will get the offer and Visa Application for Study in China (JW202) when the check passes and the tuition is paid in full.

 

Note: It takes 4-5 weeks from the completion of admission to the mailing of relevant materials.
